Regal London Granted Permission for 349 Bed Student Scheme in Wembley

The Society Wembley Park

The London Borough of Brent has resolved to grant permission for Regal London to develop The Society, a range of new student homes delivering an energy efficient, sustainable lifestyle for its 349 residents.

Designed by JTP as a best-in-class Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme, the project has sustainability and wellness at its core, and is targeting BREEAM Excellent, WELL & WiredScore Platinum. The Society is set to become one of the first PBSA assets in the UK with Platinum accreditation for health and well-being. As a fully integrated developer with an extensive track-record, Regal London is exceptionally positioned to deliver the highest standards of design, construction and timely execution.

As part of the inception of The Society, Regal London talked extensively with over 50 students, both through focus groups and online surveys. Respondents were supportive of open spaces, places for quiet study and social interaction and connectivity to the wider area. The Society includes a rooftop garden, greened street-side terraces, gym, multi-use studio, lounge and dining space along with a considered array of study spaces.

Regal London is aiming to complete the development in time for the academic year 2025/6 and will offer a mix of en-suite shared accommodation, studios and premium studios. 51% of beds will be nominated to a Higher Education Institution, of which 35% will be affordable beds.

The site is currently the location of Fairgate House and Pitman House on High Road, Wembley. Strengthened by 20 years of regeneration, Wembley is a destination famous for music, culture, food, sport and fashion. The Society is within a short walking distance of three stations: Wembley Park, Wembley Central and Wembley Stadium, offering Metropolitan, Jubilee, Bakerloo and Overground line access, providing easy access to an array of Higher Education Institutions, including prestigious Russell Group universities.

With over 240,000 students in London currently unable to access high quality purpose built student accommodation, we are delighted to be making our debut into this exciting sector with The Society on High Road, Wembley.
