Regal London acquires significant Camden project

London Borough of Camden

Regal London has agreed to purchase 100 Avenue Road, a site above Swiss Cottage tube station in the London Borough of Camden, from Essential Living. In 2016, planning permission was secured for 184 homes, commercial and community uses.

Located at the heart of one of Camden’s district town centres, the planning permission has been implemented. The basement has been completed, however subsequently the site has been stalled for a significant length of time. Regal London are committed to delivering this long standing project efficiently and at pace, and are able to bring forward the aspirations that were approved as part of the extant consent. This includes significant community facilities that the local neighbourhood has been long waiting for, alongside new affordable housing.

Regal London will seek amendments to the existing permission. In line with the latest fire safety requirements, the amendments include a second staircase.

Efficient and sensitive construction management will be critical in bringing forward the development to minimise disruption to the local community.

A revised construction management plan drawing on Regal London’s extensive experience in delivering complex developments will support the amendments. Regal London’s integrated model means that the developer has full control over proceedings.

Regal London has strong relationships with Camden and have worked on multiple schemes across the borough including the recent submitted proposals for 100 Chalk Farm Road and the recent announcement of their continued partnership with 4C Group on Jamestown Road.
