Arada London agrees forward-sale of 136 affordable homes across Camden to Clarion Housing Group

• Partnership underlines Arada London’s commitment to unlocking new affordable housing in the capital
• Transaction marks significant step forward for three of Arada London’s development sites 100 Avenue Road, 100 Chalk Farm Road and Jamestown Road

Arada London, part of the UAE-based master-developer Arada with a pipeline of 17,000 homes in the capital, has agreed to deliver 136 affordable homes in the London Borough of Camden for the UK’s largest housing association, Clarion Housing Group, as it continues to bring forward new affordable homes across London.

The social rent homes will be built by Arada’s in-house construction arm across three of Arada’s development sites and designed to Clarion’s market-leading social rent quality standards. The homes will be 100% Social Rent, representing an enhanced affordable housing offer that will be managed by Clarion to provide genuinely affordable, secure homes for Londoners most in need while helping to address the capital’s acute housing shortage.

The agreement includes 79 affordable homes at 100 Avenue Road, Arada London’s recently launched development near Regent’s Park and Hampstead Heath, which will feature a total of 172 new one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Construction is already underway with practical completion due in the summer of 2028.

It also includes 30 affordable homes at 100 Chalk Farm Road in Camden Town, a prominent site next to the iconic Grade II listed Roundhouse and within the Regent’s Park Canal Conservation Area. The scheme will also comprise 240 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) beds and 7,750 sq ft of ground floor commercial space across three buildings and is due to complete in Spring 2028.

The agreement also covers 27 affordable homes at Jamestown Road, Arada London’s joint venture with 4c Hotel Group, which will also feature 179 PBSA beds and 3,000 sq ft of commercial space. It is the second joint venture between Arada London and 4c Hotel Group following the successful completion of The Haydon in Aldgate and is also due to compete in early 2028.

Arada London, formerly known as Regal prior to its acquisition by Arada in September 2025, , has a 30-year track record of mixed-use development in the capital and has a target of assembling a pipeline of 30,000 homes by 2028.
